Smart Meter Texas Authorization

You may revoke authorization through WiseBolt™ or Smart Meter Texas at any time. Revocation prevents future retrievals but does not automatically remove previously collected information retained under this Privacy Policy.

Sharing Your Information

We are a registered Competitive Service Provider (CSP) with Smart Meter Texas and follow applicable legal requirements for accessing and using electricity usage data.

We may share your information in the following circumstances:

  • Service Providers: Third-party providers that assist with hosting, cloud services, analytics, communications, authentication, data processing, or customer service.
  • Enrollment or Energy Provider Partners: Information may be shared when necessary to provide quotes, compare plans, facilitate enrollment, or complete requested services.

  • Business Transfers: Information may transfer during mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations, bankruptcy, or similar events.

WiseBolt™ does not share electricity consumption data except where necessary to provide Services, work with authorized service providers, comply with legal obligations, or complete user-directed actions.

WiseBolt may use aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified data for analytics, benchmarking, reporting, and product improvement.

Data Retention

We retain information as reasonably necessary to provide Services, maintain records, support backups, comply with legal obligations, detect fraud, resolve disputes, and protect system integrity.

Even after deletion requests, certain information may remain in backups, archived systems, or legal retention records for a limited period.

Your Choices and Rights

You may have rights regarding your information depending on your jurisdiction, including the ability to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to certain uses, or withdraw consent.

You may revoke your authorization for WiseBolt to access your electricity consumption data through the WiseBolt portal or Smart Meter Texas portal.

Data Security

Do Not Track

WiseBolt™ does not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals.
